I am trying to use an IDE tape drive with Debian. The drive is identified during boot, but I am lost on how to access it. Under SuSE and RH and as much of the documentation on tape drives mentions, there is a /dev/ht0 device for such drives. I see nothing similar in /dev/ on my Debian box. How does one go about accessing an IDE tape drive under Debian? Or, where is the documentation for the process? TIA Ed Lawson
