CPAN, woody and perl?

I just ran a "perl -MCPAN" and did the "install Bundle::CPAN" and it's
trying to install and compile perl-5.6.1... I'd rather not do this as
I'd like to keep the perl package nice and clean in the .deb format..

  Thoughts?
