XMMS and unstable?

I just tried to run xmms on a new "unstable" box... I get this though:

** CRITICAL **: Couldn't open playlist font

Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation


Gdk-WARNING **:     ISO8859-1


** CRITICAL **: Couldn't open playlist font

Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation


Gdk-WARNING **:     ISO8859-1


** CRITICAL **: Couldn't open playlist font

And when I pick a song and hit OK, xmms exits and I get this:

Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 7167 error_code 8 request_code 73 minor_code 0
