is it normal that squid spawns 16 child processes? here's what it looks like: |-squid---squid-+-5*[dnsserver] | |-5*[ncsa_auth] | |-pinger | `-squid---16*[squid] i checked the entire /etc/squid.conf file and couldn't find anything that would let me limit that number! i can limit the dnsserver and auth children but not that one... any suggestions anyone, please? thanks in advance. -- Tomasz
