Well, it booted you into a minimal shell so that you can run fsck manually as it suggested. Instead of trying to look at running processes, type

fsck /dev/hdb1

at the root prompt. This will run fsck manually on your root partition (I guess).

Then, just exit (logout). Your boxen will reboot automatically.

Hopefully, it will work like before.
