First thing first, apt-get remove --purge mgetty-voice It is 2 years out of date. There have been many changes to vgetty since the version in Debian (stable, testing or unstable.) I've been setting up vgetty to work with netsaint to call people when there are problems. Now if I could just get festival to sound decent. Raz
