Depending on your phone situation (number of lines, local call costs), a dialup install isn't out of the question. I've done it several times myself. Give yourself a couple of eight-hour nights to get most of the base packages installed. My nightly apt-get updates tend to run anywhere from ten minutes to a couple of hours. I have a dedicated 56K phone line which is on roughly 24/7, with persistant redial on lost connection. BTW, you might want to set your mailer to wrap at 72 chars. -- Karsten M.
