Hello, I'd like to set some environment variables globally for the whole system. Before I began using xdm /etc/profile was fine for that. But now X is started directly by xdm which is started by init, there is no mother login shell for all user processes. Is there a way of telling xdm to execute /etc/profile. If not, how could I achieve the desired effect in some other way? Thanks in advance, Christoph
