I do not know how to run Genesis games with xmess (I know it is possible, but
never bothered to install it). You might find some useful information in
MAME/MESS' own website, and also at http://www.mame.dk. I am using DGen-SDL to
run Genesis games, it is great. (http://freshmeat.net/projects/dgensdl)
