when doing apt-get upgrade or dist-upgrade, apt has been reporting that base-config has been kept back, (it has been like this for several days), and the only problem i have is that dselect will not let me install any packages unless base-config is also installed, and when i select base-config atleast a dozen packages have to be uninstalled. Is there a way i can have dselect ignore base-config? and is there something wrong with my system or is it base-config?
