I still have a problem establishing a connection to
my ISP. I would like to establish email and connect my Netscape/StarOffice
to the net. I have run pppconfig and ran "pon ridgenet" but nothing
happens. I noted that I didn't have a "/dev/modem" so I created the
following: ln -sf /dev/ttyS2 /dev/modem. Was I correct in
creating the link? My desire is to call up Netscape and or StarOffice
and send/receive email and browse the web. Is this the route to
firing up my Netscape/StarOffice and send and receive email and use either for a
web browser?? thanks John_Hammack@ridgenet.net
