XFree86 and nVidia

This is more of a informational package so we dont see 5 people asking the
similar question :-/

i own a 3D Prophet II GTS and XF 4.0.1 works perfect.

DO NOT use the stock nv driver that comes with xf86.  go to www.nvidia.com and
download the detonator 3 drivers for linux...  These Drivers support
ALL chipsets made by them.  TNT, TNT2, GeForce256, GeForce2 MX/GTS/Pro/Ultra

Now I have not tried xf4.0.2 yet but i see no reason y they would not work...

Sorry for this, i jsut hate seeing 5 people asking for the same help under
totally different headings =)
