Subject: Swapper trouble?
Hai, have a question.
I was subscribed; too much mail;
Newbie trouble
Could anybody indicate where i might locate the
problem or even better find the solution?
First I thought is was my kernel
compiling & installing. But I'm quit sure that that isn't the problem
(however..)
Hardware spec.
Abit BP6
2xCeleron
533
Debian 2.2r0
On distribution kernel no problems. But no
SMP.
Compiling of the (SMP-supporting)kernel via menuconfig (the
J.A.Bezemer(Dutch manual writer) way) indicated no problems......Instalation
succesful....
Now my system isn't consequent.
Sometimes
(once;then an fresh install) it boots and "cat /proc/cpuinfo" shows both
processors.
When it has; it will not shutdown properly; again swapper
task.
Below output from where it starts when starting
Setting the System Clock using the Hardware Clock
as reference...
