mrtg showing incorrect uptimes?

this is kinda confusing i don't know why its doin it.

my switch is an Extreme Networks Summit48 (www.extremenetworks.com) it
has been up
for quite a while:
* The Big Switch(tm):1 # show switch
[..]
Current time:	Tue Jan 30 09:51:16 2001
Boot time:	Fri Dec 29 13:49:21 2000
[..]

however MRTG says it is:

The statistics were last updated Tuesday, 30 January 2001 at 9:50 ,
at which time 'The Big Switch(tm)' had been up for 2 days, 0:08:10.

anyone running mrtg on non cisco equipment and have similar issues ?

while i haven't checked the snmp response from the switch(i'll see
if i can do that). i dont think such a product(retails for $7-8k)
would return false results so i suspect mrtg is to blame here.
works good at keeping my apt warm though. never need to turn on
the heater.

thanks!

nate
