Which printing package is that?

My observations are that at least the following sequence is obeyed:

. -Pprinter in the command line

 . PRINTER environment variable

 . lp queuename

In lpr, for example,

. the first paragraph in /etc/printcap

does not have any priority:

lpr: lp: unknown printer
