I assume you just want to read a CD in the drive. You cannot write to
a mounted CD (Packet writing software does not yet exist for Linux).
If the CD is good (Try it in the CDROM drive) then you probably have a
configuration problem. Check what /dev/cdrom2 points at. It should be
/dev/scd0 (Even for an IDE CD writer). Make sure the ide-scsi and the
sr_mod modules are loaded.
