mkinitrd package.

I want to compile the 2.4.0 kernel and read the 'Changes' document.
I upgraded the needed packages, except the mkinitrd package, described in
the document.

I searched for mkinitrd on www.debian.org and found the following package:

mkinitrd-cd 0.7
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/admin/mkinitrd-cd.html

Is that the required mkinitrd package, that I need to compile the 2.4.0
kernel?
