Hi,
also, do make sure you have turned the 'pnp' option off in the card's
bios. You can configre your card with 3c509utils (I belive). When all is
correctly configured, you can insmod your card without options.

In modconf, if I attempt to insert 3c905 modules without
parameters, installation fails. In modconf I am apparently able to
insert the module using "3c509 io=0210 irq=12." These are the
resources used for the card in Win95.
lsmod lists 3c509.
However, I am unable to configure the card. When I attempt
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.6 netmask 255.255.255.0 up, I get the same
message twice:
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable.
ifconfig -a shows, in addition to the expected:
Interrupt: 10 Base address: 0x300
(I'm guessing that this is significant since I cannot access devices
on the Advansys SCSI PCI card that also claims interrupt 10. What can
I do about this?)
3c509 shows up in /proc/ioports at 300-30F.
It does not show up /proc/interrupts.
Help, anyone?
TIA,
