Trouble using traceroute.

Hi.

When using traceroute (as root), I get the following problem:

decoy:~# traceroute 194.65.3.20
traceroute to 194.65.3.20 (194.65.3.20) from decoy, 30 hops max, 38 byte packets
traceroute: sendto: Operation not permitted
 1 traceroute: wrote 194.65.3.20 38 chars, ret=-1
 *traceroute: sendto: Operation not permitted
traceroute: wrote 194.65.3.20 38 chars, ret=-1
 *traceroute: sendto: Operation not permitted
traceroute: wrote 194.65.3.20 38 chars, ret=-1
^C
decoy:~#

Note that all is fine whan using, for instance, ping:

PING 194.65.3.20 (194.65.3.20): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 194.65.3.20: icmp_seq=0 ttl=249 time=11.6 ms
64 bytes from 194.65.3.20: icmp_seq=1 ttl=249 time=11.1 ms
64 bytes from 194.65.3.20: icmp_seq=2 ttl=249 time=12.9 ms

--- 194.65.3.20 ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 11.1/11.8/12.9 ms

Anyone has any clue to what may be the problem?

I'm using woody, with kernel 2.2.18 (self-compiled) and traceroute is
version 1.4a8.

decoy:~# ls /usr/sbin/traceroute
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 17692 Dec 9 03:20 /usr/sbin/traceroute
decoy:~#

TIA, sena...
