Re: didn't do it quite right...



I have not been following this thread, but it seems that nobody has
mentioned the excellent debiantool make-kpkg yet. To install a new
kernel I just do:

1. cd /usr/src/linux
2. make menuconfig
3. make-kpkg kernel-image
4. dpkg -i ../kernel-image-<version-I-compiled>
5. reboot

Works like a charm
