PS/2 mouse on serial port?

Hey all,

I was given an old Pentium 75. It has two serial ports on the back, one labeled "mouse" and one labeled "com2". No PS/2 ports. I can't seem to find any real serial port mice, so I got a cheapo PS/2 (micro solutions, works as a PS/2 on a PS/2 port with X), and a PS/2 to serial adapter. I've got the mouse/adapter in "com2". /dev/mouse is a symlink to /dev/ttyS1. I get no response from the mouse with gpm or X. I've tried the MicroSoft protocols and the PS/2 protocols, gpm -t bare, nearly every combination posible with XF86Setup, nothing seems to work. I attached the output of "cat /proc/tty/driver/serial" hoping that someone will be able to tell me waht's up.

Thanks in advance,
