fyi uw-imap 2000 which I willl be releasing very soon is supposedly a lot
more efficient with large mailboxes than the 4.x series. There will also
be a version with SSL support. Another new security feature which is
available if you recompile (it is not appropriate for most cases so I
won't put it in the binary .deb) is to run server processes chroot'ed to
the users home directory or other defined area. My understanding is this
is what cyrus does.
