Re: Official support. - paid vs free

hi ya

free support is good if...
	- you know what you are looking for
	- time is NOT an issue and can wait and poke around to find
	  the right answers
	- cummulative community collective of collectables ( information )
	- can interpret and understand the vast amount of data
in mailing lists and web sites and howtos

paid support is good if...
	- you have a well defined support issue that is beyong the scope
	  of existing or in-house personal
	- your company has the $$$ to pay for support that hopefully
resolves the problem in a hour or two or project based solutions
	- you dont wantto deal with "what to type" to get it to work right

For Pablo's firewall issues...
	- thing the best process is to hire a firewall consultant to build
their firewall and maintain it for them ???
		- its debatable if ipchains or firewall-1 or other apps
and other mroe dedicated hardware are better for pablo'sneeds

- but "certification" is NOT the answer.... ( ducking from the potential
  flames )
