There is a kernel option to correct the above error:

Use multi-mode by default
CONFIG_IDEDISK_MULTI_MODE
  If you get this error, try to say Y here:

  hda: set_multmode: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
  hda: set_multmode: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }

  If in doubt, say N.

This can be be turned on, but I don't believe it is in the default kernel.

You could recompile to correct it I believe.  As for the rest they may be solely a result of the above problem.
