The old free version was a "lite" version. Qualcomm has done away with the lite version in favor of a free full-version with banner ads. Eudora is now up to version 5.0.1 (or somewhere there about). If you don't like the ads, you can pay the registration fee ($20 maybe?) which turns them off. For more info, see http://www.eudora.com.
