RE: pcmcia ethernet card

a) there is a debian-laptop list

b) ensure that you have: pcmcia-cs and pcmcia-modules-<version> installed

c) insert card, as root type: cardctl status, you should see info about your
card. cardctl ident should tell you the type of card you inserted.

On most laptops a successful card insertion causes 2 high pitched beeps to
occur. If the card is completely unknown, no beeps will happen. If the card
is seen but unsupported a low pitched single beep will occur. If the card
inserts fine but the pcmcia scripts fail you will get a high followed by a low
tone.

If you have pcmcia installed, slink's pcmcia may not support your card, the one
in potato definately will.
