I have a Compaq Proliant 800 server (128MB, 9.1 GB SCSI hard disk, 32x
ATAPI CDROM, 3.5 floppy drive, bootable CD, etc.)  I had Red Hat 6.0,
but the kernel failed??  ? I erased everything and started over?

I recently purchased a magazine "LINUX ACTUAL" that came with 2 CD's of
Debian 2.1 which I tried to install, but when it gets to the part about
partitions I define my partitions and swap, it says it is partitioning
and then hangs, doing nothing more.

I have tried to install another operating system (Windows 95) but ?? it
doesn't recognize my CDROM  ... ?
