interesting, it seems you do, when i run it i get:

[eb@socrates src]$ ./locktest root.bin
fcntl()=0, errno=0


this is on my NFS mounted /home

i don't see anything special in my exports or fstab files...  

what kernel version? 

oh did you check to make sure you have lockd running on both machines?
