I have been running it on just a local network at home as a fiel server...
i don't know how mission critical it is though, my housemates just all seem
to store porn on it...

i haven't really had any major problems with it, i had one pretty big
problem but that was more *ahem* user error.

that is absolutley of no assistance to you. :)
