mouse sample rate
Hey guys. Ok, a clip from my XF86Config file.
Section "Pointer"
Protocol "PS/2"
Device "/dev/psaux"
SampleRate 45
Resolution 100
Buttons 3
EndSection
I assume that by changing the sample rate, I can make the mouse
pointer move faster, increasing sensitivity of the mouse. But, is there a
way to make this take effect immediately, without shutting down X and
restarting it?
KDE and Gnome allow you to do this, and I'm wondering how they
work. Do they intercept the mouse perhaps and not use this mechanism
directly?
