struggle to install X on IBM netfinity 3000, s3 trio 3d card

Hi,

I am struggling install X on a ibm netfinity 3000
series machine with potato. As per the setup it has
the s3 trio3d video card. The card is there in the
cardlist given by XF86Setup, but I am failing
miserbaly..

Any ideas?
