can't find lib*.so

Hi all!
I have a program that uses libXaw.so.6 library, but it doesn't start 
because it does not find the library.

The library is installed in /usr/X11R6/lib.
In /etc/ld.so.conf there's a record "/usr/X11R6/lib"
X is running without any problems...

Is there something else I may set not right?
