Trying to get my Scanner going

Hey,

I'm using Debian Slink (I will upgrade once the CD's are out, I've found
that the people on IRC are rather ruthless to us Slink-users), and I'm
trying to get my Scanner to work.  I have an HP ScanJet 5100C.  I've
installed the SANE package, and I read the sane-hp manpage, and the
Hardware HOWTO, but I'm still stuck.  _All_ I've done is installed the
SANE package.  I went into the GIMP, went through acquire image w/ pmm:0
and pmm:1, but I don't know what those mean, and when I clicked the
scanner btn, it said that their were illegal arguments.  If you could
help me, that would just make my day.
