RE: samba config question



mm.. I think i tried that and it still gives the problem.

linux box:
ext2 partition mounted on /share w mode 777.

excerpt from smb.conf:
---------
[share]
path= /share
valid users = camus
invalid users = root
writeable = yes
read only = no
browseable = yes
hide dot files = no
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
------------------

Could the error be related to the /share being ext2 with permissions?
Everything directory i copy I can see/modify..

You need to set the permissions on the shared directory to allow the user or
the world to write to the folder.
