Ordinarily root doesn't receive mail (security concern).  In the file
/etc/aliases you might add something like this:

	postmaster: your-username
	root: postmaster

Then any mail addressed to either root or postmaster will end up in your
mailbox.  The message sender will then be in the mail headers.
