Ponyprog

Dear Sir(s),

Problems with Ponyprog:
-----------------------

I have Debian 2.0 with a 2.2.9 Kernel installed on my IBM x86 Cyrix Pentium 200.
Having read the instructions from http://www.cs.unibio.it I have it impossible
to properly install Ponyprog.

As well as the non-debian V library V-1.23.tar.gz I also tried the full Motif
and Athena V libraries.

I have tried tweaking the Config.mk file but each time I do:
"make linux; make installLinux" or "make linuxelf; make installLinuxElf"
I get compiler errors that suggest that it cannot access the V library files.

I find the instructions rather ambiguous. Where it tells you to make a symbolic
link, its suggestions as to where this is to be done is unclear ! Is it in
/usr/lib or /usr/lib/v or /usr/include or /usr/include/v or /usr/local or
/usr/local/ponyprog ?

Do I have to use the non-debian v-1.23.tar.gz or can somehow use the Debian V
libraries ?

My linux user number is: 105483 for your reference

Yours faithfully

Ray Bonett
