It depends on what you mean by gateway. If you mean you want this box to allow
computers on an internal network access to the internet through a dialup or similar on
the linux box then you'll want to use IP Masquerading. This can be done by using
ipfwadm if you're running a 2.0.x kernel or ipchains if you're running a 2.2.x kernel.
If you're talking about something else you'll have to be more specific.
