/etc/resolv.conf contains the nameserver IP address and our default
domain (I think) that is updated every time the DHCP client daemon
renews the lease.
Whenever I try to ping this machine (from itself) by giving the
fqdn hostname, I get an error message like:
unknown host matrix.domain.com
nslookup on that fqdn hostname gives an error message saying that the
specified domain doesn't exist.
Sorry I can't be more specific about the error messages, I am not at
work right now.
