FW: alpha 2100

Hi ,

 I am trying to boot 2.1 debian from CD-ROM on my alpha 2100. (sable)
I receive the following message: I have no env. Variables set in the srm
console
 Any idea's.

rrd43 CD-ROM
128mb mem
latest srm firmware 5.5 installed
1024 Compaq qvision
embedded tulip 2040 chip (Ethernet)
