You'll want to grab one of two servers:

1. Download the Creative Labs 3D Blaster Banshee server from the Creative Labs website (look under Beta drivers). This server works well with Slink and doesn't require the work of #2. All that is needed is an edit of /etc/X11/Xserver to point at /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_Banshee

2. For a 3Dfx Banshee or Voodoo3, you can download servers and OpenGL/Mesa support from the 3Dfx website. This is is a bit of a pain since its all RPMs that need to be dealt with. Once you get everything installed, the server and related tools work fine.

I have both a Voodoo3 and a Banshee, and both have worked with Debian.

My first suggestion would be to try the SVGA X server.  Without knowing
more about this card, there's no way to tell you otherwise.
