Network problem
Hi,
I am using my linux machine as a firewall, eth1 is connected to the
internet and eth0 is for my local network. The local network only exists
of the firewall and another computer connected via a cross-wired utp
cable. Everything works fine, but if i turn off the second computer, my
kernel starts giving messages like this every 15 minutes or so:
Oct 10 23:57:48 nuclear kernel: eth0: transmit timed out, status 0073, resetting.

Beside that it is quite annoying, it sometimes locks up my computer.
Has anyone any suggestions what the problem could be?
I'm running kernel 2.0.38.
