Can anyone suggest a means of doing this? As it stands, it only logs weekly. As well, if there is anyone who can point me to some good info on using cron effectively, I would appreciate it. The logcheck program contains a utility that does the appropriate magic and is pretty neat itself. Unfortunately it's not packaged (although someone said they would make a package just recently), I don't know the web site and the author has neglected to include it in the distribution. Searching on http://www.securityfocus.com/ will turn it up, though - look at free tools then intrusion detection IIRC. -- Mark Brown mailto:broonie@tardis.ed.ac.uk (Trying to avoid grumpiness) http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~broonie/ EUFS http://www.eusa.ed.ac.uk/societies/filmsoc/
