let me revise that--it is not a loop for the open mailbox. Closer inspection shows that exmh is not deleting mail from the spool after incorporation, causing it to be reincorporated every few minutes. I've been using exmh for about three years, with the same configuration (save for different path names when using FreeBSD), and never seen anything like this. Rick
