The fvwm 2.2.2-2 package in potato does not depend on libc6(>=2.1) and
all the other package versions that it depends on appear to be in
stable. The fvwm-common in potato needs the updated perl-5.004 packages
but the fvwm 2.2.2-2 does not have a version depends on fvwm-common
so you should be able to use the one from stable without any problems. 
Just download the fvwm 2.2.2.-2 deb and install it by hand with dpkg -i.
