XEmacs and W3

Hi,

launching w3 en XEmacs version   20.4 from packages 20.4-13   gives the followin error: Invalid regexp: "Invalid preceding regular expression" 

That happens with M-x w3 and M-x w3-fetch as well.

Any Idea
