mod_auth_mysql and dso?

Hi *,

I try to compile mod_auth_mysql as a module for apache.
Everything works well during compilation - but when apache
tries to load the module I get this error-message:

test:/etc/apache# /usr/sbin/apachectl start  
Syntax error on line 101 of /etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_auth_mysql.so into \
server: /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_auth_mysql.so: undefined \
symbol: mysql_store_result
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

Does anybody know howto get mod_auth_mysql going with dso?
This is on a slink-system (apache-1.3.3).

Linux. The dot in /.
