Strange xemacs warning

My xemacs gives me this statement in the bottom window.

Can't instantiate image (probably cached) : [xbm :mask-file
"/usr/include/X11/bitmaps/left_ptrmsk" ...

this happens when the cursor goes over the button bar at the top.
Any ideas?
