Screen Incident
OK, I was managing my system through `dselect' and automagically it
unselected everything and yadda yadda yadda, it started erasing files when I
updated things. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was deleting
things, so here I am today, system back up for the most part by hacking
through dpkg.
The problem is, when I try to use `dselect' (this is why I used dpkg to fix
things up) or `vi' for that matter, the screen skrews up. i.e. in dselect I
cannot move up and down; it just prints "B" "A" "C" "D" at the top of the
screen and beeps. Same with vi. The status bar is at the top and I can't do
anything such as scrolling. I thought it might have something to do with
kbd, but I don't think so anymore. Any suggestions on how I can solve this?
