[0 tv@sun ~]$ ls -l ~backup/.amandahosts
-rw-rw---- 1 backup backup 41 Feb 14 11:02 /var/backups/.amandahosts
[0 tv@sun ~]$ sudo cat ~backup/.amandahosts
dent.naantali.fi backup
-don't run the software as root, switch to backup
(otherwise you need root in .amandahosts too)
-check your reverse PTR.
-check /etc/hosts.{allow,deny}
That works for me..
