It's detected as /dev/sr0 and mounting that doesn't work?
Do you have this:
# ls -l /dev/sr0
br--r--r-- 1 root cdrom 11, 0 Jul 24 1997 /dev/sr0
Try it a few times... Sometimes I get mounting errors with CDs
5 five times in a row before it mount correctly.
